It was a solid effort from the entire roster in the Spruce Kings second preseason game as they posted a 4-0 win over the Trail Smoke Eaters on Wednesday night in Chase. The win moves the Spruce Kings to a 2-0 record in preseason play as they will now shift their attention to the Grande Prairie Storm of the Alberta Junior Hockey League for a home-and-home series beginning Friday night in Grande Prairie and finishing up Saturday night at 7pm in the Castle.
The Spruce Kings got a great showing on the scoreboard from local hockey products including a pair of goals from Lyndon Martell and a single from Sean Landrey. Tyson Witala, Tanner Fjellstrom and Jake LeBrun also picked up assists. The fourth goal for the Spruce Kings was scored by Minnesota born Bryant Christian and other assists on the four goals came from Chad Staley, Kody Disher, Mitch Eden and Coltyn Hansen.
