favour of the Spruce Kings
Season Series: Coquitlam leads the season series 2-1. Lost the first game, but
has won the last two.
Game Overview:
Tonight will mark the fourth meeting between these two teams, and the
third time in Prince George. In the two games in PG, the team who won in
special teams won the game. The Spruce Kings scored all three of their goals on
the power play in a 3-2 win, and then the Express scored both of theirs on the
man advantage to take a 2-1 decision.
Prince George Home Record: 4-8-0-0
Spruce Kings Leading Scorer: Adam Brubacher – 11 goals/13 assists/24 points
Coquitlam Road Record: 7-9-0-2
Express Leading Scorer: Colten Kerfoot -
Player to watch:
Spruce Kings:
Corey Hoffman – FWD: He may have gotten off to a slow start in November,
not picking up a point in the first seven games, but then got on the board with
four assists in the final five games. He is the leading scorer for forwards
with 21 points in 30 points.
Kyle Johnson - FWD: The leading rookie scorer for the Spruce Kings has
two assists this season against the Express. In 15 points this season after 30
games the Port Moody native has an eight point lead over Connor Logan who has
seven points this season.
Express:
Jackson Cressey- FWD: A member of the afore mentioned “Big Three” line,
Cressey picked up a hat-trick in the last meeting including the game winning
goal in the third period. Cressey leads the team in points per game, averaging
1.4.
Erik Udahl -FWD: He’s the second smallest player on the Coquitlam
roster, but Udahl is likely one of the fastest if not the quickest. In the last
game against PG, he had a highlight goal he would love to repeat.
