Venue: Prince
George Colisem
Game Time: 7pm
Season Series: 0-1-0-1
Game Overview:
Coming off a big win last night, the Spruce Kings will need another big
effort against the Victoria Grizzlies. The Spruce Kings have yet to win a game
against the Grizzlies this year, with the most recent outing being a 7-3 loss
in Victoria for the Spruce Kings. The one other meeting was a 2-1 OTL with
Prince George falling in double overtime. Victoria will have some motivation,
as they sit just five points ahead of the Alberni Valley Bulldogs, and will
want to add some breathing space between them, and the team chasing them in the
playoff hunt.
Prince George Home Record: 6-11
Spruce Kings Leading Scorer: Matthew Stief – 4 Goals / 25 Assists - 29 Points
Victoria Road Record: 6-12-0-1
Grizzlies Leading Scorer: Brayden Gelsinger – 19 Goals / 31 Assists – 50 Points
Player to watch:
Spruce Kings: Coming off a shutout last night, the Spruce Kings
will look for another big game from Liam McCloskey. The young netminder
is coming off his first BCHL shutout, and will look for a big result after he
was one of the stars of the game in the 2-1 OTL at the Showcase.
Grizzlies:
The last time these two
teams met, Jake Stevens had four points (two goals/two assists). In last night’s
game against Trail, they shutdown Nick Hallorin who had four points in the last
meeting against PG.
