Venue: Prince
George Coliseum
Game Time: 7pm
Season Series: Langley has won all four games by a combined score of 21-3.
Game Overview:
The Spruce Kings are hoping that they are able to
work up some of their home magic against the Langley Rivermen. Last time the
visitors were in town, it was PG coming away with a 3-2 win to knock Langley
out of the playoffs in the first round. Since then it has been all Langley
though, as the Rivermen have yet to allow more than one goal in a game against
the Spruce Kings. All of those games have been played down at the Langley
Events Centre though, so Prince George will look to take advantage of home ice,
and get their first win of the year against Langley. Last weekend the Spruce
Kings split a pair of games, as they shutout Trail 2-0, and then fell 4-2 the
next night against Victoria.
Prince George Home Record: 6-12-0-0
Spruce Kings Leading Scorer: Matt Stief – 4 goals / 27 assists / 31 points
Langley Road Record: 7-10-1-0
Rivermen Leading Scorer: Matthew Graham – 18 goals / 26 assists / 44 points.
Player to watch:
Spruce Kings: After easing back into the lineup last weekend
following a lower body injury, look for Braiden Epp to start producing. With
many veterans on the team now gone, he will be counted on as a leader, and has
an “A” on his chest to prove it. His last point came on November 26th,
but he has also only played four games since then.
Rivermen: One of the players that always seems to stand out
against the Spruce Kings is Zac Masson. He has played in three of the games
against PG, and hasn’t been shutout once, picking up two goals and two assists
combined. He only has 13 points on the season, but with nearly a quarter of his
points coming in three of his 41 games, look for him to bump that number up in
the Castle.
